Have questions about the festival? Here are some answers.
Do I need to own a drum?
If you have a drum to bring, please do as there are drumming circles and workshops that you can participate in. If you don’t own a drum, we have many to rent. Or come to just listen, as the Main Stage has drumming performances all day. For workshops, if you need a drum, please contact us ahead of time, and we’ll see what we can do to arrange that. There will be a fee for drum rentals at workshops.
Are there events for children?
Absolutely! This is a family-friendly event and we welcome all ages. There is a children’s pavillion, as well as a children’s drumming circle. See map below in red – the children’s pavillion is located in an enclosed area, a fenched-in lawn behind Alberta Avenue Community Hall.
Where do I park?
The street will be blocked off, so be prepared to walk short distances to get to the festival. Or take the step to be environmentally friendly and take Edmonton Transit Buses. Look at a map of the festival on our About the Festival page…
Please note as well the City of Edmonton is doing sidewalk and street upgrading in this area, so we encourage attendees to carpool, take Edmonton Transit, walk, bike, or hire a taxi. Jere is a link to the City’s Road construction schedule.
Can I buy drums at the festival?
Yes, most likely. We have space for vendors in our bazaar area – and there are vendors who sell drums. If you would like a space in our bazaar, please contact us.
Is there food and drinks available for purchase on-site?
Yes. Food vendors will be set-up on-site in the Main Stage area at 9210-118 avenue (see map below in orange).
Where do volunteers and performers check-in?
See the map below in yellow. Volunteers and performers check in inside Alberta Avenue Community Hall.
